Welcome to the Alamo Area Parkinson Support Group (AAPSG) website. We are a not-for-profit community-based volunteer health organization and a chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA).

We are committed to serving the Parkinson’s Disease (PD) community in San Antonio and South Texas. We aim to achieve this through advocacy, education, support groups, and wellness programs for our community while raising funds to support research for a cure.

We hope you will join us as a member of our organization and join our community events and meetings. Membership is free for any Person with Parkinson's (PWP) and any caregivers providing care for a PWP.

In addition to hosting an annual symposium in July, AAPSG offers regular support group meetings, a music wellness program, Nordic walking meet-ups, newsletters, and an annual 5K Parkinson’s Optimism Run/Walk in April to have fun and raise funds for research
